 “Aphrodite” the Cyprus Experience Competition

 Calling all adventure seekers, the opportunity of a lifetime awaits you in Cyprus! David Pilosof, renowned underwater photographer has created a diving competition with a difference. “Aphrodite” the Cyprus Experience Competition combines diving with high tech photography in a bid to win fantastic cash prizes. This subterranean competition will take place in Cyprus, Larnaka from June 1st to 6th 2009.   The competition is open to all photographers, amateurs and professionals alike. It is a shoot out competition, meaning that photographs have to be taken in Cyprus during the 3 days of June 2nd – 4th 2009. Categories and Prizes include: 2,000 euro: First prize for the amateurs category.  2,000 euro: Best Singular entry live in the Zenobia wreck. 3,000 euro: Best 5 images for environmental and conservation advertising campaigns. 4,000 euro: Best video clip promoting Cyprus and the Zenobia wreck. 4,000 euro: Best 5 fashion and nudes images. This prize also includes a fantastic 3-week diving trip for two to Papua New Guinea with Walindi, Loloata Resorts and Aboard Febrina. Furthermore the lucky winner will receive round trip air tickets to Singapore/Papua/Singapore courtesy of Papua New Guinea Tourism Promotion Authority. 5,000 euro: Mayor of Larnaka Prize for the best 5 images of the Zenobia wreck. The Cyprus Tourism Organisation is a proud sponsor of the “Aphrodite” Underwater Photography Competition. “The Cyprus Tourism Organisation allows us to run this prestigious competition where underwater photographers have the chance to win cash prizes.
